Hello, I’m new here, just recently joined 
and I was wondering how to paint the center hood grille piece without getting paint all over the raised chrome ribs? Do you lay it face down. Touch these up by hand or painstakingly tape the ribs off?

I masked the chrome rib faces with the correct width of self-adhesive pinstripe. Wasn’t too bad a job and worked great!
One way to paint them that I have done. Use SEM Trim Black clean get the part cleaned up, spray the whole thing. Than use thinner to whip the the bars that you want to show the chrome.
