Help, My 73 cougar has a weird issue. The turn signals only flash when the headlights are off. When they are on the turn signal brightens but doesnt flash. Whats going on?
Is the engine running? Sometimes the flasher needs more voltage. Please try that and report back.
Yes engine is running. I am going to try a new flasher. Its green so it may be the original.

Remember the 73 has 2 flasher cans, one for turn signals and one for emergency flashers. Is this problem for both front and rear signals?
What is battery voltage with engine running? Iām thinking along the same lines as Badcatt.
