Look at this picture and tell me what color silver do I need to paint the headlight trim (see left light).
Also, my should the “grille” surrounding the headlights be black or should the fins be chrome?

Hey Dave, below is a link to a IMHO nice pic of a front grill, not mine but you can also get a good image of original grills from the WCCC catalog. If it were me and I was repainting the silver, I don’t know the correct paint model I would do both sides so you didnt have a mismatch due to age
For the silver, Ford sold a spray paint called Argent that matched perfect, but I don’ know if they still sell it, A close match would be Argent silver wheel paint from Eastwood #1291Z, or Dupli Color WP101 silver. I like and use Eastwood silver.
I had a feeling that it was called argent, but never having seen argent (or knowing I had ) I wanted to make sure before I ordered some.
The old Ford part# was D7AZ-19000-A, but now is Motorcraft. See here http://autokrafters.com/p-8211-paint-valve-cover-ac-argent.aspx?keyword=d7az-19000-a
Ford had both light- and dark argent paint. Light Argent was used for wheels/headlight trim, Dark Argent was used to '70 Mustang grille/wheel background.
See, learn something every day
