Those classy hood ornaments started in 1974 on the next generation Cougar ( 3rd gen. : 1974 - 1976 ) and had a part number of: D4WY-16850-A.
That’s what I thought. I’m not very fond of that ornament.
Yep, had that on my 75, didn’t care for it so upgraded to a 77 ornament
