Not mine but WOW! Great Cat…
Don Rush had one, 20 some years ago. May have been this one. It looks like the center of the hood lip molding is damaged. That is a hard part to get these days. Outside of that it is a nice looking Cougar.
The 70 reflector on the passenger quarter panel is interesting. I was an idiot and wrecked my 69 sport special in 1982, and the left front fender was replaced with a 70 that always glared at me. There was a lot of rust and repair to end up with a full 70 quarter, so if anyone is thinking about buying you should get under it and inspect.
Wow, that shop is in my neck of the woods. 40 miles away or so.
Finley is an extremely knowledgable guy, especially with respect to the 71-72 Mustang 429CJ, Boss 351 and 351 HO. He’s bought some 429CJ parts from us - and is no-nonsense, very direct, and impatient with people that don’t know as much as he does. I can see how he would rub people the wrong way.
Not vouching for this car, but his stuff is generally very nice and correct however.
Hood, grill and front bumper alignment need some adjustment. Very cool and unusual combo. Would be quite easy to detail the car under-hood.
Was working with him on a deal for my 69 428 CJ Vert. Then he just ghosted me. Certainly his prerogative, but perhaps not a great way to treat knowledgable folks in your hobby.
That’s unfortunate Joe, this is a small community and treating people poorly is bad business.
Agree. Being a physician, there is always the need to respond to people and patients, and in a timely manner. All he needed to say was: “Sorry, no longer interested”. He was supposed to set up coming out to view the car. That’s what we were working on. Even said it would look great next to a similar Mustang in his museum. Then…silence. So be it.
