I have done a search on here and at MCnet and could not find anything on the correct location to mount the AC vacuum canister on my '69 XR-7 convertible.
I know it sticks through the Passenger rear fender aprin, but I don’t have the holes there since this was originally a non-AC car.
Anybody got some measurements for the mounting location?
You should see 3 dimples in the apron, I can’t recall the O.D of the larger hole, so check the size on the vac can. Seems to me the large hole is off center.
Oh and the idiot (zangjaiju) is posting words of wisdom…

If it is the same mounting location as a hardtop. I could take pics and give you a 3 point locatation for each if the holes. Does anyone know if they are the same? I have a 69 351-4v factory air hardtop.
Both the coupe and convertible a/c canisters are in the same location for 69 & 70.

I did not see any dimples in the apron. 
Placement measurements would help too, but if I had to I could eyeball it according to the pics.

There are dimples Daryl, you should find three of them below where the hinge mounts.
Hmmmm… I guess I will have to look again for those dimples this weekend.
