The AC suction hose connection is a flare fitting at the evaporator inlet in my 1969 XR7. My car was built in October 1968 at San Jose. Is the evaporator originally installed likely the 1968 shown in my photo? My 1969 suction hose I purchased has a male threaded fitting so it will not work in the application. Just wondering if the evaporator is original or was replaced with a 1968 unit in the past.
Probably replaced with 1967-68 unit. 1969 and up should all use the “O” ring style of connection.
