I have a 70 cougar, I’m looking to swap out the old rusty heavy leaky master and swap in an aluminum with plastic reservoir…any recommendations or thoughts. Thankyou
If it aint broke don’t fix it. There is nothing about an aluminum master cylinder that would better than the original except a little weight reduction. In the future this modification will be considered a molestation and something to be fixed by returning it to stock.

Agreed with keeping the stock style master here. you are not going to gain anything with an aluminum/plastic reservoir version
what is the reason you would like to switch? Brake issues? gaining performance? With a little more information we may be able to help more with repairs or upgrades
