Another magazine stops production!

Hemmings “Muscle Machines” has notified their community that they will stop printing the magazine!

They cite costs as the major reason…

Was sad to see it go as well.

Hemmings Muscle Machines, an American City Business Journals 2005 refocused continuation of Hemmings Motor News Publishing’s Hemmings Rods and Performance (2000–2005). It was a monthly periodical focused primarily on muscle cars from the postwar era to present. Content included original cars, restorations, modified cars and new-production muscle cars.

Subscribers to Hemmings Muscle Machines were notified in a letter with their January 2025 issue that the February 2025 issue will be their last. Hemmings cited “significant inflation related to production costs,” “changes in advertiser demand,” “newsstand supply-chain struggles,” as well as consumer tastes shifting to digital and social media as reasons for the publication cessation. Hemmings Muscle Machines subscribers, if they choose not to cancel and receive a refund for remaining issues, will receive Hemmings Motor News instead for the remainder of their subscription after February 2025.[11]

BTW the current issue has an article about a pretty nice restromod 67 Cougar.

I was sad to see that. It’s a great magazine. The quality of the sponsors in the latest issue were a red flag. Outside of NPD there was multiple trinket necklace ads, something for the wife I guess? Can’t imagine they were bringing in much revenue from ad sales.

The CCOA magazine is fantastic! It has only gotten better over the years and I’m a proud member.
