Hey I got a car that was sold in 69 from Jack Ross Lincoln Mercury in Tempe AZ. Its a 1970 Cougar XR7 coupe Vin # OF93H503958. Can anybody tell me anything bout this dealership an how I can find out more on my car?
It looks like the dealership is gone, although it may have been sold. The factory Lincoln website doesn’t show a dealership in Tempe, but there was one there as recently as 2010 when it was sold. The owner who sold the franchise now is a Mazda dealer in the same location the Lincoln-Mercury dealership formerly occupied. Before that owner, the dealership was owned by the Earnhardt family, who (apparently) bought it from Jack Ross since the address remained the same. So with all those changes in ownership, it’s unlikely any of the old records remain even if they had been kept by Jack Ross for all those years (itself unlikely).
