For newer cars ('96 & up), seems like it basically turns your phone into a code reader. Thinking about it to help me manage the growing fleet of aging daily drivers.
Wondering if anyone has experiences (positive or negative) to share.
“The FIXD Sensor plugs into the OBD-II port of any gasoline-powered car 1996 and newer and connects wirelessly to the FIXD App via Bluetooth Low Energy.”
Never tried any of the OBD-II phone apps, but I wish there had been something cheap and simple back when I was working on Porsches. I think I spent about $100 on a used Durametric cable and then later something like $800 on an old Toshiba laptop PST-2 to program the convertible top.
If the app scanner can read and reset the specialty Porsche and BMW codes, it might be worth it.
