Auto Transport Carrier Recommendation

Can anybody recommended an auto transport carrier? Or, advise against one?

Thanks in advance,

Spend the $$ and use Reliable Auto Transport

Ask for proof of insurance. Often they do not have any coverage.

Thanks!

Thanks

to add to Royce’s great suggestion, make sure the insurance covers YOUR car. Then notify your insurance about the trip. DO NOT USE your standard home insurance(national, state farm etc) even if they say they cover classic cars… Only ones like Haggerty will cover you correctly & with no hassles!!

Right that’s what I meant.

Well, I talked with Haggerty and they won’t cover the car unless it is garaged (not even parked in my driveway). And/or, I drive it more than few thousand miles/year. (I was planning on using it as a daily driver of about 50 miles/week).

I recently bought City a 68 in Kansas City and shipped it to Bloomfield Hills Michigan (Detroit).
I wanted an enclosed trailer.
Reliable quoted $2157, Intercity (advertised in Hagerty magazine) $1950.
A friend in Arizona shipped 2 cars and was very pleased with Sherpa.
Sherpa quoted $1025. They are a broker and it took them 4 days to find a carrier.
The carrier took 3 days and the car arrived in a very nice, single car trailer, in perfect condition.
I shipped a car 3 years ago from Phoenix to Detroit and it took 3 weeks.
