Did the Autolite carburetors originally come with circular e-clip or elongated hairpin retaining clips (as pictured) in the grooves on the ends of the linkage rods? Mine is a 1970 D0AF-AC 4300.
In the illustrations for the Autolite 4300 from the1965 - 72 MPC, it shows the clip as 377918-S but the image isn’t that distinct. So I found the same clip in the Ford 1bbl ( 144 / 170 CID ) illustration. It is an ( external ) retaining e-clip.
