Autorama Car Show

I took my Falcon Coupe to a local care show the other weekend. Quite a bit of variety here in Australia :sunglasses:

I think the Aussie cars are awesome, I really liked the white and black car with the rear hung doors, I don’t have a clue what it is but it is real. It is about half the way down in the pictures.

It is a highly modified XB Falcon Coupe

That looks like it was a great show. I like seeing all of the four door cars and wagons in the mix. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting! What a cool group of cars. I love Aussie Falcons and how they continued to evolve. Are any of the pix of your car?

Thanks Fellas for the comments, I cant take credit for the photos and who ever snapped them had their favourites.
My car is in there (a pic of a yellow 2 door GT)

Your car is too cool! What year is it? A Calypso Coral (Competition Orange?) one showed up at Knott’s a long time ago and I almost wet my pants. Saw a nice Ranchero 500 out in the parking lot at the Grand National Roadster Show a couple of weeks ago. Same reaction. What year would it be?

Mine is a Sept 72, the coupe shape continued thru XA,XB,XC models up until 77.
Same goes for the (ranchero’s) utes. In Aus they were falcon 500’s but never a GT.
K code 351 utes in good condition are popular and pull good money.

Nice show pictures of some different cars were not use to seeing alot of here in the USA. .Thanks for sharing

BTW, the Falcon Ranchero above looks in the picture to be what we know as a Torino, but in real life it is about a 7/8th model of one - so cute!!! Same with cars like Brett’s - like mini Torinos.
What is a ballpark price for a good, early '70s GT coupe, 351, 4-speed?

Ive noticed you guys seem to like big blocks as well as big cars
Our GTs were all pretty much 351’s with coupes being some of the rarer models.
A good XA GT coupe can easily be around 80k and RPO versions even more, these got some extra go fast bits like extractors, holley, winged sumps etc.

Ford Australia had two Torinos as prototypes for the XA, XB, XC Falcon coupes

There was one model of coupe called Landau and it had hidden headlights and even a Cougar running cat on the rim blow wheel in its early releases

Do you have/know of any pix?
