I saw today will be up for auction 1969 cougar convertible

http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1969-MERCURY-COUGAR-CONVERTIBLE-184918

wow, sold 37,000

I was watching, missed it, what time did that go on the block?

That’s a nice looking convertible that brought strong money. It’s a 351 M code GT all said final price was $40,700.

That car blew away the others before it, for the most part! The announcers were very complimentary and noted that it did very well for “just a basic Cougar” but that it was restored and presented very nicely.

Really a strong showing. I was kind of underwhelmed by how the multitude of American classics (OK some were just old American cars) were doing up to this point.

That car was purchased local to us and brought to us for the convertible top install. He (our customer who bought it to fix and flip) sold it at Jan BJ not long after and it did quite well there as well.

I think we’re finally on the map! (Good news/bad news)

right at 6 pm central time.

I did one myself on my 70 XR7 thought it was not too bad to do, but I went with plastic back window.

I can’t remember where I got it from (15 years ago) but it fit real good. even ordered a blue one
