Posting mainly as would be a great comparable to my 67 XR7 GT so would love for it to bring all the $$!
But does look like a nice example of a fairly rare Cat.

Hey Cavallino, I haven’t seen you car but does it include the following things:
Zip ties holding the wiring harness plugs together.
Power steering belt routing incorrect.
Incorrect placement of headlight release solenoid. Probably vacuum hose cut short because of splitting.
Incorrect penthouse valve covers and wrong breather.
Staples not used on radiator support dam.
Incorrect thermostat housing.
Incorrect alternator pulley size.
Wire harness clip missing at valve cover and some missing on apron.
No Mercury man on washer lid.
Incorrect PCV system.
Possible incorrect upper alternator bracket. Looks straight, should be curved?
Incorrect rocker slash screws and color.
January 67 glass not original for one of the last built August units.
Upside-down license plate bracket.
Mustang wheels.
Paint errors include wiper pivots, fuel tank inlet, door felt line taped, hinges painted, door jam stud.
Incorrect dash bezel screw.
Mustang door pull woodgrain type caps.
And the spliced wire under the dash?
Not that there is anything wrong with that. But, that is enough for me to want to look at it closer in person if I were in the market and intrested. Lots of nice pictures of the reproduction parts added. It tells a story.
I love it, when the real Cougar heads can spot all of the incorrect details. I would have missed many of those at first glance. Nice work!
That’s a great list. It’d be quite a bit longer with pointing out more obvious things also, such as incorrect engine paint color and unpainted waterpump. Makes me appreciate my '67 GT that had never been taken apart (until i got to it)

Hey John…… You have a great eye for original on these special cats! I’ve only had my 67 XR7 GT since 1996 so but a child to you in comparison.
And not going to post this on the BaT listing as love to see a high bid but if I was a buyer would be many, many questions but not like it’s a Cougar that will ever be brought back to Concourse.
Can see a lot of surprises in store but overall looks like a good driving example. Best case for scenario for the next owner is this one doesn’t make reserve so a PPI can be done before purchase. Or the owner doesn’t know what they have as according to Hagerty a 67 XR7 GT doesn’t exist so can pick it up for non XR7GT money.
Hello everyone, bringing to light my observations is to educate and point out that comparing these cats can be tricky. Having this specific model myself, I too am interested in the going rate.
93 S codes, especially 1st year, super especially with the GT package, ARE worth restoration to a better than factory spec. in my opinion. It’s a future blue chip model most likely to be obtained by a dreamer than the ones above it at this moment. I will never find a 1st gen W or R or G or E. and be able to afford it. Too late in time for that.
This one could be a dimond in the rough.
Removing the frame connectors and finding correct parts would be a chore. My point was that after looking at the pictures it seemed to me the car was being flipped and the flipper, left a lot on the table. But you wouldn’t know if you didn’t know.
So that brings me to value. I want to see it go high. But I also don’t want the Cougar to get buyers remorse. Or be an anomaly.
Those pictures told me that it just got on the road. Power steering lines were probably small block routing / custom routing because of a worm clamp and no hanging loops. Wire slpice says that all needs yanked. It looked thrown together. Paint said alot. Original motor?
To me it needed work to get it to status. And that comes out of who’s end? That’s the value. Other opinions want to drive it as is. I see a car screaming for help.
But it’s got the right vin.
I think it would be worth more in factory color of lime frost. A personal favorite.
So to me it needs repaint.
It’s the right car for the right price for somebody. Cavallino is correct, It will be a surprise to drive. In my opinion, from pictures.
Anyway my point was, did I say that already?, comparing these cars value is a lesson in detail and still a mystery to me.
