BBCat takes a hit from Mother Nature

Scott, if you’re prepared to sell that for what I’d get on mine, we’ve got a deal!

Not sure about the deal… But Scott that is a beautiful car, and a great picture!

You know Bill, I still have the J-code G that is also the same color combo. Its coming along well, scheduled to have the headliner, vinyl top and glass installed in a couple of weeks then its off to the same body shop that did the S-code. It may be possible you could keep both cars (yours and one of my G’s) should the insurance settlement work to your favor. Below are a couple of photos just taken tonight. I know the roof is not supposed to be painted under the vinyl top but I feel better with it painted instead of just primer like the factory did. I have a really nice Dark Ivy interior that came out of the car you may be picking up for the roof to fix BBCat.

The J-code looks good, Scott. I’ll know better what’s happening by the end of the week and then we can finalize the pickup of the donor car. Right now, I’m thinking the week of Thanksgiving.

Bill the week of Thanksgiving will be fine, just remember I leave for Asia on Nov. 30th.

The insurance company just informed me that they will NOT be treating BBCat as a total loss. They are going to cut me a check for the amount of the repair estimate and will also cover any supplemental estimates needed once the repair work gets underway. So, no windfall, but it’s at least a rational business decision on their part and I get my car fixed so it’s all good.

Awesome news, Bill…:y:…

That’s great news Bill!!

Good news I guess. Although I get the feeling you were eyeballing the G pretty hard with the thought of the big settlement check.

Actually, my wife would have shot me if I suggested replacing a virtually finished car with a project, even a G project. And if that project consumed all of the extra payout, she probably would have made the shooting come as a reprieve.

So, in a way, Scott nearly got me killed! :open_mouth:

So this illness can be fatal? oh nooo…

Hmm…

Bill, you could just say it was hers. The S-code for you and the J-code for her, tell her the “G” stands for girl. I could not think of a better way to go crusing with the wife. In separate cars (lol). No more back seat drivers or fighting over which radio station to listen to.
