How in the heck to I replace these? Do I really have to take out the window glass to get them out? I have the set I ordered from WCCC, but I really don’t know the proper procedure for replacing them.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

What year is your Cougar? For 69-70 this may help.
Sorry for the late reply. My Cougar is a 67.
…and, yes, Don, I do still need assistance with this. Thanks.

The way I do it, you only have to remove the door panel and remove the rubber stop in the bottom of door, this will let the window roll down below the beltline and then you can pop them out and back in.
That sounds promising, catlover. Where is the rubber stop and what’s the best way to remove it?

Actually… If you take your time you car pry out the outers and force in the new without removing door panel if you are careful and patient. I say do it the safe way as it also gives you the opportunity to clean and service the inner working of the door.
The rubber stop is in the bottom of the inside of the door. To remove, twist side to side (actually outside to inside relative to the door) as you apply pressure upwards.
