Bendix Master Cylinder core 2227161

I have been performing unproductive internet searches for a Bendix 2227161 disc brake master cylinder or good serviceable core so I thought I’d also widen my search and try our Marketplace Forum to see what happens.
I have a Ford service replacement on my 1969 Cougar, but as such, I would highly doubt it has the correct casting numbers on it ( not removed yet and also when I installed it I recall it being a ‘multi-application’ part ). But now it’s time for a rebuild, and I do have the Ford kit for rebuilding the MC ( C9ZZ-2004-A ) - just need the proper core !
I hope someone in our Community can help me, or point me in the direction of where I might obtain one. Seems that the kits have been ‘unobtainium’ for most of this year, maybe even beyond that - so there must be a number of ‘core hoarders’ sitting on a ‘stash’ who could spare one.
I’m sure that it still won’t come cheap, in any regard ?
Thanks,
Gord

Original ones are tough to find. This is a near perfect reproduction: Master Cylinder

Hello, I just joined and realize that your query is a few years old, but I am into my brakes right now. I’m sure you have resolved by now but just wanted you to know I found a decent repro at Pirate Jack’s website. It works good and even has the 2227161 stamp on the bottom. It was 75 bucks and a new MC. The only difference was the bore depth so it took an adjustment on the push rod length. Regards.

That’s what I was up against, trying to find a good core is like finding a unicorn. That’s why i sold my rebuild kit..

The one from Dead Nuts On, which Royce references in his thread above, is simply the best and most accurate. And at $115 with free shipping and super excellent service, there is little reason to look elsewhere. Even correct paint scheme and white paint daub, as well as installation tips.
