Best paint match for dark red interior?

So, I bought the new padded dash for my 67, and it is NOT any shade of red. More like a baby poop brown color. For the money, NOT HAPPY with the color. However, my choices are either paint the new one, go with out, or keep looking for a good original.
SEM is the preferred interior paint, as I understand it. So am I better off with just a dark red, or a vermilion color to try and match my dark red/ maroon interior?

NPD sells the SEM brand paint that matches the original dark red color pretty well. I just did the exact same thing, dyed a reproduction red dash pad to match the car’s red XR-7 interior. I thought it was an improvement. One can will be expended doing the dash pad so if you think that you might do something else one day you ought to think about spare cans.

Scott Zeller tipped me off on this a few years ago for dark red and matches perfect.

I just got my new headliner in the mail today. I have the new seat upholstery for the fronts and rear. The door panels seem to be in still restorable shape. I think the dark red can that I got from SEM will be good enough. I’m just hoping for a close enough blend, so that nothing sticks out from the rest of the interior. I will keep the SM Arnold on the back burner though, in case I don’t love the color match when I get around to assembling the interior.
Thanks!
