best rattle can paint to match 69 / 70 dark argent ?

I believe the dark grey paint on the insides of the 69 & 70 styled steel wheels is called dark argent and is a semi gloss paint. I searched and found reference to a paint code someone said was a great match, but I did not find any previous posts about a rattle can option that is a good match to the original finish. Anyone out there had a good experience and can share the make and color they used? Thanks, John

This post may help. It depends on how different the paint is from the 68 argent. Post is focused on the interior but I sample several silvers/argents. At the least it may remove a few rattle cans for the list of possibilities.

Thanks Gaugster. I see that NPD sells Motorcraft Argent https://www.npdlink.com/product/spray-paint-argent/214240 and Mustang Depot sells Classic Argent Wheel Paint by Accu match https://www.mustangdepot.ca/lifestyle/car-care-protection-tools/paints/specialty-paints/paint-argent-genuine-ford-12-oz-spray-can?gclid=Cj0KCQjw5uWGBhCTARIsAL70sLJEocBGwPCA4A0Y0oMhsnROlerl5LKEXUhF1BEIgDhrkTkkcZ3b_FIaAlqYEALw_wcB . Anyone used either of these paints and if so, any comments on how close either one is to the original dark argent ?

If you are looking for Charcoal gray for the 70 style steel wheel, Eastwood part#1287ZAcrylic Lacquer is what I found to be the closest.

I can tell you the motorcraft argent is more of a matte silver as seen here. Its really nice paint, Ive used it on tons of stuff including the headlights and taillights along with interior pieces. It flows smooth, drys fast and is durable. But I dont think it will match what your going for on the wheels

John’s Classic Cougars has a custom mix (at least they did 8 years ago) for the 70 dark argent that is nearly perfect. Picture shows original wheel on right compared to repaint on left.

Thanks to all for your replies and comments.

I probably should mention that although the color of this paint is correct, it is just a bit too shiny. I see that WCCC carries one that appears to be less shiny:
