So I’d like to increase the alternator output. Stock just isn’t going to cut it with the New stereo. It will be around 4000W .
Is there one out there that I can put straight in or do I need to convert to single wire? This will be going into my 69. We all have different tastes people. I just want mine to look and sound the way I want. TIA

I have an alternator from a 93 Mustang 5,0 in my 69 XR 7 351W, using an adapter harness I bought several years ago from Ron Morris Performance.
Just curious where you are putting speakers capable of handling 4kW in your Cougar?
There are cheaper ways for this change, but here is one option as it’s more of a plug and play and eliminates need to hack the existing wiring. From my understanding, this smaller case fits better than the larger / higher amperage 3G alternators.
