Does anyone know about the block/spacer plate posts? I have one on the left (drivers side side) but no one on the right side (passenger side). Are two needed? If so does anyone know where I can get another one? I have looked all over the internet but can not find any or anything about them. Thanks for any help
I think that’s an alignment pin to aid when bolting up the bell housing.
Yes, you need both. I got mine from NPD about 10 years ago.
Do you guys know the exact name of the posts or pins?
Bellhousing to Block Dowel
Original. To bellhousing. 1/2 diameter x 1 long. 2 required. Locates bellhousing to block.

If you have the transmission that came off the back of the engine check the bellhousing. The dowel pin may still be in the bellhousing.

Great suggestion. However it was not there.
Typically your machine shop guy has those.
Not knowing what all you might need, you can’t go wrong with the Dura Bond HW Finishing Kits. Includes the locating dowels your looking for plus all the cam and crank pieces.
Ordered one from NPD. Thanks
