WOW, Iā€™m bummed. I live about 3 miles from the McCormick Auction site, and was there on the first day of the February auction; this Cougar definitely was NOT there. The inventory has been in decline for about a decade, so I didnā€™t return for the Saturday or Sunday sessions. Many of the McCormick consignments are ā€œlast minuteā€ and never appear on their website until the auction results are posted. Wish Iā€™d had a chance to see this. Strong price for McCormick, and my ā€˜68 XR7 is likely worth more (AC; one family ownership until 2011; original black plates; Black Cherry over red leather with black vinyl top).

Just checked the McCormick site; this was NOT a February 2026 auction entry. The YouTuber could have recorded this at a previous auction; I canā€™t tell when.

Just did a global search on McCormick site. It was the February 2020 (!!) auction!

I likely saw it at the February 2020 auction (last pre-COVID McCormick auction), but donā€™t remember it. Iā€™m not wild about two-tone cars, prefer vinyl tops (like the gorgeous XR7 on the home page of this site.
