Blue paint.

Stupid question alert!

I’m struggling a bit with choosing a colour. My '68 XR7 is in the paintshop and going to be started on any day now. However I can’t really decide what colour to get it painted. It was originally Nordic blue with a black vinyl top and it’s currently an unknown electric blue that everybody seems to love.
I’m keeping it blue with a black vinyl top. But, As the only Nordic blue 68 I’ve seen was mine in 2006, before the previous owner had it painted and Google image search only brings up diecast models does anybody have any good pictures of Nordic blue 68s to convince me or any other blues that would look good.

My 68 in my signature is Nordic Blue.

My Nordic Blue car is featured many times in the following link. I have one with the 68 plate on the front #275 and the photographer/flickr account is Chad Horwedel. The #42 racer is a different car but is Nordic Blue too.

I hope it helps.

In 1968, Nordic Blue is the name Mercury chose for color code ‘D’.
In 1968 Ford called color code ‘D’ Acapulco Blue.

Acapulco Blue is a very popular color on 1968 Ford Mustangs. Use your google.

IMO Nordic/Acapulco Blue is one of the best Ford colors ever.

There is also Madras Blue. You can see examples of both on my website. Look at the '69 Mustang convertible for Acapulco/Nordic Blue and the '68 Cougar called B3Cat for Madras Blue.

I will second that.
My 1968 California Special Mustang has been color changed to Acapulco Blue from it’s original color of Meadowlark Yellow aka Saxony Yellow.

Here is a cross reference list for that color… called Medium Bright Blue in 1970 as shown on pic below. Color of the interior is not to be forgotten in your choice.
