Good afternoon everyone. Finally able to get back to my Cougar. Brakes are soft, so am thinking that I need a new master cylinder. While I am at it, I am thinking about changing the brake lines. Two questions for you all. First, do you buy your lines pre-bent and if so from whom, or do you bend your own. Secondly, how tough of a job is it to change them? Any tricky areas to look out for? Any tips, tricks and/or advice is greatly appreciated. Also, any other “might as well” that I should do while I am doing this job?
Again, thank you in advance for your input.
I bought a pre-bent OE steel brake line kit from West Coast Classic Cougar for my '68. Everything fit perfectly.
The install was not too tough on my '68 but I don’t have any experience with how it would go on a '72.
Replaced all the brake lines on my 71 vert. Went with the pre bent kit from WCCC had no problems, every thing fit just right, no fighting, no leaks.
Guys, thanks for the responses. It looks like the pre-fab lines from WCCC are the way to go. What about the master cylinder? Any recommendations on whom to purchase from?
Thanks
