Buying local 67-68

I give up trying, the suspension parts are cash up front no returns but I found out trying to buy the motor mounts that there computer systems are wrong, I ordered 390 mounts they come in and there small block mounts, so I give them the part # and they say ya that’s what we ordered, the two are nothing alike, I tell them there system is wrong , they look at me like I got 6 heads, that was at Napa so I tried every other store in town and they either had no listing or tried giving me the small block mount and it’s amazing to me that the majority of the people working at the counters don’t have a clue what a motor mount is, you can’t be sure you are going to get what you want and keep in mind no returns on some items, so much for buying these items local and not paying for shipping.

Any good or bad experience with auto krafters, they are close and list US and import items.

Randy, I got some stuff from Auto Krafters in the past with out issue. Summit has been good for many guys although I have never got anything there personally. I pretty much use NPD, WCCC, and JCC. Sad that MU is out of it because they were a good source for some stuff too. They were always great about returns, but I find NPD to be good that way also.

I had this problem about 20 years ago. If you ever have this happen again have them look them up for a Mustang with a 390. The Mustang uses the same parts as a Mustang. At that time the Mustang part number came up unavailable.

I actually started with the mustang because I figured it would be better.

As much as I can I get from wccc I do for two reasons, even though I have never met Don I like dealing with him and at least most recently most of what I’ve got has been in trade at no cost but I’m about out of stuff he’s interested in,I did just get the vacuum motor seal kits from JCC and mirrors from someone else because wccc didn’t have them but unimportant items that I can get US made I’ll get close to home , I’ll probably get some of that stuff from autokrafters.
