Calipers

I haven’t asked my mechanic, but I believe my XR7-G has single piston calipers. Should I upgrade to something better? We’ve changed booster, rotors, pads, shoes, MC, proportioning valve, and still have issues. Bill said he should have rebuilt the calipers, but I’d like to run new ones. I’d like to appear original, but am wide open to anything close that performs better. Also, what does “Booster Dewey” get for a rebuild. I’ve heard him brought up several times and trust my Cougar Brothers explicitly!
As always, your opinions are valued, and your help is appreciated greatly. Thanks.
Ray.
P.S. I will post booster vacuum, and whatever solution cures my brake ailments.

The original brake setup is fabulous when everything is rebuilt properly. Typically the aftermarket 4 piston setups won’t work with your factory wheels either. I would have the original calipers rebuilt, it is not expensive and they are date coded to the car if they are truly the originals.

Thanks Royce I’m not sure if they’re The Originals. Will there be a part number or some way that I could tell if they were?
Ray.

Once again, I’ve looked better! I will check and see if there’s any dates on them. Thanks again Royce.
Ray.

They should look like this…
