Car cover recommendations?

I know nothing about car covers. I searched the forum and didn’t see anything specific already posted here.

Are these generic or can get them to fit? When I searched on that auction site the prices were all over the place.

I would like a good one that fits the car (1970) and doesn’t damage it. Any info on brands/experiences/sources would be most appreciated. Thanks

I got my cover at Walmart. It is made by Budge and had my Cougar listed on the back. Good price, around $30-40. I’m pleased with it.

California Car Cover Dustop is what I’m using. It’s not cheap but worth it for something that gets parked indoors.

I’m using a Dustop cover as well, from Covercraft who supplies to most of the car cover vendors out there.

California Car Cover Noah is mine … http://www.calcarcover.com/n_covermaterials/Noah
Wanted a bit more moisture protection in case I’d get caught in the rain at shows.

I also have a NOAH from CCC. Bought it because even though it will always only be in a garage, the garage it was originally parked in was not so good at keeping out the elements. And I figured, it’s a pretty nice car, so why not? Think about how much money you’d spend on a coat for yourself, how many you might buy in a 10 year period, and don’t fret over the cost of a good cover.

My sentiments precisely!!

Thanks for all of the feedback.

I won’t cut corners on a car cover.

Now I didn’t mention that the cover might be used in both summer and the cold of a northern winter. Is that a factor? I’m a little worried about moisture.

I use a Dustop in a garage in CA. Not worried about moisture here. Dustop is model and year specific. Mine fits like a glove. Soft and gentle on the sparkling finish of my 68!!

Me too. Very satisfied.

The best way to protect it against moisture is to bag it. http://www.vehiclebags.com/
The XR7-G spends it’s idle time in a bag. You will still want to use a light car cover as well. The bag is plastic. The Eliminator just sleeps in one during the winter.
