I do a little woodworking as a hobby and the garage can get very saw dusty at times. I would like to cover the Cougar to help keep it a little cleaner, especially during the winter months. Do any of you cover your Cougar in the garage and if so, I am looking for cover recommendations. Mine is a 69 and I would need a hole for the antenna. Thanks
For the garage. Any Autozone etc type cheap cover is fine. Cut your own hole for the antenna. Nobody pre cuts them unless you go megabucks custom tailored.
I purchased this one from Amazon for my 73. When selecting the size I would add a few inches to be safe.
Cover my car in the garage other than summer months. I have a “good” cover which I cover with a cheap E bay cover I believe made by Budge. My “good” cover stays clean and the cheap one is a throw away. Price of paint jobs makes a cover pretty valuable.
I had a cheaper cover on mine for the garage but I found it ended up just as dirty with the cover then without so I ended up just tossing it was just as much of a hassle. It did help keep any of the kids from scratching anything if they happened to bump into it but since moving the car to a different spot Ive opted out of a cover or at least the cheapo ones. The thing with car covers is the act of putting them on and off can cause scratches as well especially if they get any level of dirt/dust on them so keep a good coat of wax on the paint to help prevent that from happening.
Saw dust is for sure going to make its way under and through the cover. You might want to look into a weatherproof/outdoor cover to make sure none of that saw dust gets through. If you decide to get something a little nicer then a cheapo amazon cover look into these. https://www.calcarcover.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwezM8r3r_wIVghatBh29VQHiEAAYAyAAEgIfgfD_BwE
