Can anyone recommend a reasonable trustworthy car transport company from the West coast to the East?
I used Ship a Car Direct (shipacardirect.com) to get my car from California to Ohio.
They are a broker for carriers. I was very happy with the contact they maintained and the scheduling of the pickup and the delivery. My car came on a 18 wheel Car Hauler. The have an app where the originator takes Pix from all the major angles etc… and you can compare when your car arrives.
The are very high touch before and after to ensure things go right. One of the Items that sold me was the option to put it all on a Credit Card. there was a premium, but I was not comfortable with the “typical in the industry” payment of “Cash” and I mean Federal Reserve Notes, upon delivery to the driver to release your car.
I used Horseless Carriage Carriers though they are a bit in the high end since the car is completely enclosed in the truck. If you don’t have a pricey paint job then one of the open ones may be cheaper.
Note from experience: if it doesn’t start and is in a parking garage give them a heads up.
