Hi all. The carpet in my 1969 convertible was replaced by the previous owner about 10 years ago. It’s in OK shape but is very thin and floppy and moves around a lot. Watching the videos from WCCC and others the carpet they install appears to much more robust and rigid. I find the carpet in my car to move around a lot and move from position all the time. I know my carpet is not the mass-backed variety. Is the carpet moving an issue for others?
I replaced my 69’s carpet with the wccc carpet. I couldnt be happier. Its molded to fit the floor pan and fit with just minor trimming. Watch Dons youtube video for installation. Good tips & Tricks

Yeah that looks like nice stuff. I’ve seen the video and I can tell it’s much stiffer than what I have installed in my car now.
You can also get matching floor mats. For 250 bucks for the carpet, i dont think you can do better.

The carpet is made by ACC (Auto Custom Carpet). This exact carpet can be purchased thru Rock Auto.
Mass backed is what you want. Heating to fit is essential to a great look .
I was looking at the ACC website and they show Nylon, Cut pile, and Essex as options for carpet type. It looks like Nylon is the one folks are using. Is that correct?
Yes, I believe so. Its what I always order. Get product # & use it to confirm on Rock Auto
