We made our annual run to Yakima this weekend. What a good time. We met at the Outlet mall in North Bend WA. What a colorful bunch of 1970 Cougars we had too.
We also Had Scott Ferguson’s 1968 XR7-G safely tucked away in his toy hauler as he and Heather had a nice trip in comfort.
We drove over Snoqualmie pass on I-90 to Ellensburg then South through the canyon. I didn’t get any pictures as I was driving, but it is a fantastic drive. We got to Yakima in time for Lunch. We ate at Minors Drive in. Great food and way bigger portions then most of us could eat.
We went to our Hotel and checked in and took a brake as we had a big afternoon and evening planed.
Later we met the local Mustang club for a Cruze in at another Restaurant named Majors.(Yep, Yakima has both a Minors and a Majors restaurants). We took the place over with 6 Cougars from the Club and DeadStang brought out her 69 XR-7 for 7 Cougars.
Like I said, We took the place over.
And A Cougar won best car at the Cruze in too. Congradulations to Steve and Zana Goulding. 1969 XR-7 Convertible 390. Look at the size of that trophy!
This photo by Scott Ferguson.
We then Drove through town to a Mexican restaurant we like for Dinner.

Photo credit for last 3, Thanks Juan Nunez.
After Diner 3 Cougars went back out to Cruze some more. Yakima allows Cruzing a few time a year. We had Jeff Bingiman in his Comp. Green 70 Standard Sunroof,
Chris Osborn and Juan Nunez in Chris’s Comp Yellow 1970 XR-7 428 CJ
and Jim Compton and I in Jim’s 1969 Standard Convertible. Sorry Jim, I didn’t get any pictures of it.
We parked and watched the paraide for a while. Nice 55 Mercury going by.
Another picture by Juan.
Sunday we took over the local Mustang show, “Pony’s in the Sun” held at Sarg Hubbard park, this park has many tributes to
the Local Veterans. A fitting location to hole a truly American car show. The same Cougars as were at Majors on Saturday
evening were in attendance here as well.
There were many nice cars in attendance. This is a very nice looking 1970 Mavrick,
This 56 Wagon was one of my favorites. It has a 292 Y block and a Ford-O-Matic.
The owner was doing some last minute detailing.
This one had just had it’s restoration completed recently
Find me some one who doesn’t like 69 Mach 1s and I show you a Chevy guy.
When the votes were counted we had a clear winner.
Yep, Cascade Cougar Club cleaned up!
