CCOA Vin Decoder

[1967_S_Code]

Is it just me or has anyone else had a problem with the CCOA vin decoder? I get Security access denied when trying to run a vin code. I enter United States and Mercury for the security answers to get to the Vin Decoder but no luck getting any further.

Hello Steven,

We have been seeing this problem occasionally and are working on fixing it. Suffice it to say it’s not a trivial fix.

In the meantime, we have found that it seems to be related to something in newer versions of IE as well as some iPhones / iPads. Therefore, if you can retry using a different pc or browser (Chrome, Firefox), you should be able to get past the security screen. We have found this has worked for other people in the past.

I had the problem with Chrome - but it worked OK when I just tested it

Phil everything worked ok when I tried with Internet Explorer. I will try later this evening with Chrome when I am home. Thanks again.

Good news Steven & Leon. Just FYI - we are totally redesigning this area of the site to bring it up to 2015 standards. But it is a huge job, and will take some time. So please accept this work-around until the redesign is complete & tested.
