I was looking at using these for my 69 351w any opinions?
Depends on the rest of your ignition system. If you have electronic ignition go for it. If you are still running points it’s a 50/50 chance that it will be Ok. Sometimes the point won’t provide a hot enough pulse to the platinum plugs resulting in a weak spark. In that case better to run copper. On Boss 302 motors with lots of air and fuel in the cyl and running points you get a better burn from the copper plugs.
Thanks for the response.
I took the points out and put the ignitor II conversion in and a blaster 2 coil. Do you think that would handle the Double Platinium plugs?
The platinum plugs will not fare well with that sort of low powered ignition system. You will have longer plug life with cheaper plugs.
thanks
