Chauncey and Isabel hanging out at Carlisle AFN 2013

Not the best lighting for pictures, my wife took these with her iphone. “Chauncey” looked awesome (thanks Steven!) sitting with Isabel, her “pack”.

Looks good Bob. I was going to ask if you or Bill had brought “Chauncey”. I’m glad you’re enjoying it.

There were two “Chauncey” statues in attendance. One of our club members, who saw the one I bought for my wife, had me get her one. She had hers in the back seat of her Cougar.

Ha! - looks great.

So sorry I missed the show this year.

How did the weather hold up?

Friday was mostly a wash-out in terms of the show field because it was misting/sprinkling all day with a few bouts of steady rain. Except for those few periods of steady rain, it was OK for walking the vendor area, although my shirt, pants legs, and sneakers were soaked by the end of the day. I ended up drying out my sneakers with the hair dryer in the hotel room before going to dinner.

Saturday was very nice, though. It wasn’t too hot and there was a good turnout on the show field. There was a strong showing of 67-68 standards and half-a-dozen 71-73’s. I didn’t do an actual count but I’d estimate there were 8-10 69-70 Cougars as well. The 67-68’s were also represented by 2 XR-7’s, my XR-7 GT, and one XR-7G. Total count should have been around 35 Cougars total.

For me, it wasn’t my best/favorite AFN trip, especially minus one day. Doing the dyno thing was fun/cool though!

This is the second AFN I’ve ever missed.

It really sucks thinking I have to wait an entire year for the next one!

Phil,

With Friday being rained out (more or less), I think you picked one of the better years to miss!
