Cheapest way of sending parts to the Netherlands

Hi,
i have a question, don’t know if i am on the right community for it but i hope someone can help me out.
I allready ordered a pair of headers for my 73 cougar XR7 convertible and let it send to my homeaddress in Bergen op Zoom,The Netherlands.
Now i had to choose from a couple of ways of sending with different prices and probably took the fastest but allso the most expensive .
So my question is if someone can tell me what’s the cheapest way of sending parts to the Netherlands?

Thnx,

Leo

My experience on shipping to Norway is that a lot depends on what deal the shipper has with the shipping company they are using. I have noticed that most companies have a deal with the shipping company and they can ship at rates far below normal cost that you find in their rate lists. Some of these companies are forwarding the good prices to their customers, and some charge their customers the regular price and put the rest to their profit. Usually I try to negotiate on the shipping cost when I know a company has a good deal with the shipping company or if i feel they are charging too much.

For a private shipper USPS EMS might be the best way (fastest for the money) on overseas shipping, but there are no rule without exceptions. Recently I have also had very good experience with Fedex to Norway.

Another thing that you should take into consideration is how much the shipping company will charge you to do the customs work in your country. Here in Norway USPS ems is free of charge (I only pay the actual tax) while a company like DHL adds about $50 to the bill for their handling.

I know this did not say much about the Netherlands, but hopefully it is for some help anyways.

Good luck.
