I’m trying to get the wiring repaired on my Cougar. I just installed a new turn signal indicator relay onto the relay mounting bracket by the fuse box. Right below it is a small box marked Cole Hersee 40 amp breaker 6-12-24 volt. Mine has no wires on the lugs, I assume that’s wrong. What wires should be there? I can’t find a reference to it in the shop manual or online. What is it for?
Sounds like something added on probably for accessories no longer on the car. Never seen a 40 amp breaker on a Cougar from the factory
That could be, but it sure looks factory. Same style of gold colored screw attaching it and it fits perfectly in that spot.
Pictures would help but no way a 40 AMP breaker is stock.
