Hello,
Does anyone reproduce the console inserts (like nearly all restoration parts places have Mustang units). And if so, who has the best price for the same part… Likely one maker for this part!
Mike
Out of stock for 70, and not sure who makes it, but yes:

The woodgrain was reproduced for a time, then discontinued. A new manufacturer / source has been found, but it’s not quite as close as original. Still better than a Mustang piece!
I am curious about the new reproduction inserts, as well, while I have my dash torn out. I’ve seen pictures of the new repros at WCCC and another place and the photos make it appear that they are quite a bit lighter in color than the originals. Is this true or just camera effects?
I’ve already tried repairing… the woodgrain vinyl is pulling up around the perimeter and warping a little. I tried using a small hobby heat iron to see if it would shrink flush and stick better - it helped a little bit with the flattening, but definately didn’t help with the sticking. Anyone have any suggestions to try?
A few years back (10 -15), I found several sheets of this pattern. I still have them. It looks to be a good replacement for panels if someone is interested.
Max, I sent you a message regarding the sheets. How large are the sheets? I’d like to restore my console and my radio bezel.
I would also be interested in enough to restore the radio bezel.
I need enough for the console, radio bezel and the steering wheel trim.
