Contact Info for Ford Copyright & Trademark Group

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to check and see if anyone has some valid contact information for the Corporate Trademark & Licensing Dept. of Ford Motor Company. I have what I believe to be a simple copyright question that I would like answered, but I have had no luck in being able to get a response from anyone at Ford. I had originally sent a letter to Ford back in January using the address shown in one of Kevin Marti’s books. I didn’t get a response back and I suspect it never got delivered to anyone. I decided to send a second letter in March by certified mail and still no response. I did that to ensure it actually got delivered. I decided to try and contact Ford by telephone, and finally spoke to an operator who provided me with a name & telephone number (which is always busy). Wow, I thought maybe this time I might hear back. So, back to the post office again, and sending it by certified mail addressed specifically to this individual. After a couple of weeks passed, I received my letter back AGAIN saying it was undeliverable as addressed. So, can I not get any information if I’m not a business or company? I’m sure Ford has a mail sorting department, but surely someone should have received my letter and did something with it besides throwing it the trash.

Thanks for anyone’s help.

Good luck with that. What are you trying to do? Chances are better that some one here has been down the path before, than that Ford will have a corporate lawyer spend time telling you anything.

I’m curious also - The CCOA has permission from Ford to use Mercury Cougar related trademarks.

I’ve talked to vendors at Carlisle who told me about, in years past, when they were selling unlicensed Ford items how a Ford representative suddenly appeared at their booth and told them to get rid of the stuff or face possible legal action.

I also remember that Ford got VERY aggressive protecting their copyrights and policing their licensing just before the economy went south in 2006. Even going so far as to warn magazines that were using “Ford” and “Mustang” in their mastheads.

I own a small (very small) graphic design business and have become the defacto brand manager for the CCOA, what is it you want to ask Ford?
