Happened to be watching this again and out of the blue I saw it… 69 Cougar.
It showed up in the line of low riders that pick Mark Hamill up on the way to Las Vegas at about the 19 minute mark.
Man! Talk about a trip back in time. I watched this movie when it premiered on CBS. I think I was five or six. Wasn’t it around '79 or '80? It was at grandmas house, and I remember her commenting on the “nifty cars” (lol). She was a car person and always liked the British sports cars.
The summer of 78, the year before I graduated HS. I remember seeing parts of it at the drive-in (which I drove to in my '69).
About the same as Rktmn except I graduated in 78, I remember the movie but not the Cougar, have to make it a point to watch it the next time it pops up on cable.

So I was four when I saw it then. Can’t believe I remember watching this. I remember it being on TV because they took the Dukes of Hazzard off for one week and I was pissed until I saw what they were airing. It was hard to be a kid in the '70s and not be a fan of ANY actor from Star Wars.
Just watching that sequence brings back some some great memories, even if the acting was bad.
