I have been dealing w/ diverticulitis for over 6 years. Up until recently antibiotics took care of things. Last round was over 2 months straight on meds. I was out of options. Went in on 12-6 and was released on 12-8. Abdominal surgery is no fun. Even though it was Laparoscopic surgery. I can say it was done my one of the best in the world. Dr. Nandi is an amazing person. 2 degree’s by 16 years old.
Now the recovery! No lifting of more than 10 Lbs for 6 weeks. Gonna be tough to work on Cougars w/ that restriction in place! Have great friends who have offered to help, so hopefully things won’t be too bad.

Take care of yourself and don’t rush the healing. It can very hard to keep from over doing it. Maybe you can do some small restoration projects that don’t require lifting heavy stuff? Get well soon and keep us all updated. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I have had two bouts of what they say is the same thing although they cannot find anything on any diagnostics to pin it on. Oddly enough, this happened to me in June 2015 and June 2016, almost to the day. I am not considering surgery (yet) but it could come to that. The only upside I have come up with on this affliction is that it is a good weight loss tool! I lost about 8 lbs over 2 weeks, the (two different) antibiotics are really nasty! I was on Flagyl and Cipro. Flagyl is awful.

The last bout was a long 2 months. The anti that worked for me was AVELOX. I had a 2 day try w/ the Flagyl and Cipro, but got sick. The “side affects” of this was the weight loss. To date I’m down almost 20Lbs! Good & bad about that.
Dr Nandi is a great Dr. While in the hospital 2 other patients told me they were from out of state OK & KS. Strongly recommend you look into this Dr.

Robert, hope you do find “what’s up”. I found my “events” often followed/triggered by working in tight quarters w/ pressure on my stomach. IE: welding on floor pans & redoing front suspensions.
