This was just sent to the Delmarva Cougar Club thru it’s website:
Great! I’m looking forward to seeing this episode!
The more blue Cougars I see, the more I wish I’d gone with the HOK Cobalt Blue. May be time for a Heap Respray.
I wonder if they’ll mention the RCCI overlays I supplied (gratis) for the gauges.
Ah, finally! Excited to see what Foose does to a Cougar. Of all the car-fixer-upper shows, I still think these guys do the best work by far. I’m sure some corners are cut here and there (it’s a TV show), but still. At least now it seems like they’ve done away with the one-week fixed schedule, and they don’t actually tell us how long it takes.
Surprisingly, I don’t think they consulted WCCC or even got any parts from us for this build, which seems odd. Maybe they got most of their stuff from a generic Mustang parts place and refurbished or deleted some of the Cougar-specific bits. Guess we’ll find out soon! Maybe Don will correct me but I don’t remember hearing about any parts orders from the Discovery network.
This is awesome. I can’t wait to see the episode. Chip and his team do a good job for the most part on their cars. It will be great to see a TV Cougar project get finished. hint hint David Stacey…let’s see you finish the Interceptor!
They did not know about us (new crew from last time we met with them at SEMA) so they called Scott Drake and of course Drake said “Yeah, we have a Cougar connection, we will hook you up!” Then Drake bought all items they could not supply from us and milked us for technical (its all good). Had a couple of we NEED IT OVER-NIGHT panicked calls of course. We were scheduled to do a 70 Cougar years ago, they jacked us around and delayed the show once too many times (even bought plane tickets the last time and lost $$$) so not really bummed we missed this one. Talking to others that have been there and done that, they expect a lot of their sponsor and give little right on down to blurring the logo on the WCCC shirt you wear. When it is over the cars are NEVER dialed in and completed and they kind of just leave that to the sponsor. Our partnership with Stacey David was the best choice we ever made…
That’s next Tuesday, got the DVR set.
I saw a hint of this episode a week or so ago. When I went searching for it I couldn’t find anything. Overhaulin’ is one of my favorite shows! Imagine AJ sitting, standing, laying, or doing anything next to a classic Cougar! Oh, yeah…there’s Chip Foose too…
Naw! Deep Red’s rule, THEY RULE!!! (think Beavis and Butthead here)
OK, I’m a Debbie Downer. We don’t have cable, so I’ve never actually watched one of these shows, but I’ve seen pictures of what they produce: yuck! In the clip, it looked like a straight, running, driving Cougar that they’re going to make into a hideous, pimped out monstrosity with ugly wheels and a gaudy paint job. Not my cup of tea, but to each his own, lol.
I don’t get the Velocity Channel. But I used to watch the shows when they were on TLC. I’m sure I’ll figure out how to watch it at some point later on.
I didn’t know they were still doing shows. Hope this one can be watched or pictures of there final, since I don’t have access to these channels. Im glad they are doing one.
I have to agree that they sometimes ruin great cars, but they usually make them look amazing. They did a '67 Moostang on an episode the other day and it turned out “Hideous”.
Yeah, that would look sooooo much better with different wheels.
I also am not into the super big and super shiny Foose wheels.
My favorite part of the show is when Chip does the renderings, old school with templates and markers.

Just saw it. Its meh. Not bad, just could be better imo.
Overall it was not too over the top. Loved the color and that did look like one sweet small block they installed.
Wasn’t sold on the wheels or graphics.
Im assuming this has aired on TV already. When do you think this may be available on the net to see?
