$84,000

I saw this car in person at John’s shop last month. It will sell for $147,500.

Pretty specific, Jeff.
Are you going to buy it?

If I was going to buy it, I would have done so before it went to Arizona and I wouldn’t have paid auction house fees for the privilege.

It is a very nice car. Tempting.

Just hammered at $150,000 plus fees.

Nice, I wish it had brought much more though. Someone has a nice Cougar CJ Vert.

1970 Cougar XR-7 Convertible, 428 CJ/Grabber Blue - $165,000 including fees

…I live in hope

There is a guy 20 miles west of me who has two 69 convertible 428cj 4spd cars. One red one blue. Blue one is a driver with original paint. Other was rusted bad and tore down in pieces. The Red one I understand was 1 0f 48? How many 69 xr7 428 converts built with 4spd. Anyone know?

$125,000

We’re having a January thaw here in Duluth, but I sure wish I were in Scottsdale anyway. Watched a bit of BJ on TV, and the bidding seems brisk to me.

I tallied up all of the fantasy bids so far and the average is $110k, median is ~105k. Seems low to me. Haven’t there been some B302 Cougars that changed hands for over $200k? I thought I read that here awhile back. A fresh concours restoration by a respected specialist should be near the top. I guess we’ll find out in a few days…

Q code was 2 standard convertibles and 7 XR-7 convertibles with 4 speeds,
R code 7 standard convertibles and 31 XR-7 convertible with 4 speeds.
Per Cougar, By the numbers. Not many… But that makes each one 1 of 47.

Maybe Mike can start keeping track of the “sold” Cats & the prices they brought?

Looks like those are some of rarest. I may have to go visit my neighbor again. Tried to buy car a few times.

I think I did do a summary last year or the year before in February, after a handful of E-cats went through the big auctions. I really would like to do some sort of annual sales report, but have been spread a little thin lately. :-/

I thought so…

Maybe just simple
1969- 351-W auto & 4 speed - best $ - date & some info -(auction, special, of note, colors)
1969 Boss …
69 428

And maybe in annual report list 3 to 5 top cars in each motor & trans

With marti’s?

Cougar Bill looks like a nice line up you have!!

$108,500 for me. Should sell for a lot more but I think the market is a little soft right now.
