Cromax/Mastertint formula for '68 Onyx Black

I have over 100 cans of Dupont Mastertint mixing colors all numbered in the format ‘8XX J’ and need the mixing formula to match a Metalic version of the Onxy Black used on the 1968 Mercury Cougar (Ford color code M1724). To exactly match the original color I need to know what combination of tints (805 J = Jet Black for example) and how many grams of each one should be mixed. I believe Mastertint and Cromax us the same “8XX J” tint format code. Only a formula with the “8XX J” tint codes will work. I have access to the Axalta website but the database does not have a formula for Onyx Black (M1724) or any of it’s corresponding color codes.

Thanks,

Wow. My friend Chris sent this to me. All I needed to do was remove the “M” from the paint code and search “1724” Most colors are combinations of many tints. This formula is just one tint. Very simple.
