Cut Global West Strut Rods to get more caster?

I have the Global West coil over suspension with the lowered upper control arm. Took the car to a guy who knows old school cars and alignments and gave him the recommended alignment specs. Unfortunately, he was only able to get 1.11 degrees of camber on the passenger side and 0.89 on the drivers side before running out of thread.

I spoke with Global West and they said I could cut 1/4 - 1/2 inch off the end of the strut rod to get more caster. 1/4 inch should yield about 2 degrees.

Anyone here ever have to do anything like this?

You don’t have to much other choice if GW says that’s what you need.
