The dash pad on my 69 has a split down the middle.
Seems I heard of a place that restores these.
Or is there a kit for doing this repair.

Whatever you do, DON’T try one of those plastic caps! What a waste!!! (but I had to try it, cuz I squeak when I walk…)

Just Dashes did the pad on our Olds Vert. I can’t say as I’m 100% thrilled with the final proofuct.

It looked terrific when we got it and installed it. But now that it’s been in the car a year, I can see where one of the cracks is starting to return. Yes, it’s still way better than before. But I thought it hould hold up much longer.

Only a year?
Yeah I would expect it to last much longer.
What do they get for doing one.

It’s been on the car for 18 months now. But I started noticing the returning bad spot back in the Spring. It was on the car less than a year at that point.

I’d have to look up my receipt… but it was in the neighborhood of $200 for the repair. It wasn’t in horrible shape either. Just one medium crack from the defroster vent working it’s way back to the windshield A pillar.

If I didn’t have to rip the entire dash apart to take it back off, I’d send it back. I can live with it as the Olds is NOT a show car and more of a driver.
