Is one of the dash switches on a 1969 convertible a dummy since there is not a dome light or do all four function? Thanks
The switch panel in 1969 XR 7s has a switch in the auxiliary panel marked “ACCY” that is a “dummy” switch. It is a functional switch, and it can be used to supply power to electrical devices.
There were some Aston Martins that had a switch labeled “SPARE” that was included to maintain symmetry in that car’s dash design
Same for 1970 XR7 hardtops, and I used that ACCY switch to power the fog lights on my 1st Cougar.
Nothing. There was nothing connected to the back of the switch at the factory,
I must have a switch not working. I have not received the car yet, but the map light works, the under dash lights work, but what does the third light switch control? Thanks
Converts only have 2 working switches. No “Opera or quarter lights.
Ive actually used the ACC switch as a anti theft switch. Run the Ignition circuit thru it. You can start the car flip the switch, and now it wont start, runs fine.
Yes!
