Dead Nuts On

It appears these guys may selling a different version of voltage regulator than the units everyone else has been selling that are so prone to failure. Can anyone verify that or have any experience with them? They aren’t expensive but I hate to throw away money buying junk.

There was a “new” solid state voltage regulator that came out a few years ago. I first saw it from Virginia Mustang, but WCCC also carries it now.

These new ones are solid state, correct appearing, and made in the USA. Drawback of going with the repro covers is that you still need the guts of the VR, and if you use a modern unit for the internals the connector on the VR won’t look correct.

I’ve used mine for the last 2 summers now with no issues (knock on wood).

Thanks Mike, helpful info. Despite being back for awhile, I still have a lot of catching up to do.
