After a 4 hour drive to my home near Toronto, Ontario from Dearborn late Sunday night I got home a couple of hours ago from the absolutely great festivities at the Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn for the 50th anniversary of the most beautiful cars ever manufactured! I realize that many of you are still in Dearborn however I thought I’d start a new thread to be able to discuss and post some pictures of the experiences we had this past weekend.
I came to realize that my main reasons I wanted to attend this show was for the people and the cars. It was mission accomplished! Many of us have talked to over the phone or messaged other members, vendors or Cougar enthusiasts but have never met them in person. This weekend was a great opportunity to meet some of these people and thank them in person for what they’ve done to help in the past and it was also great to forge new connections and friendships for the future. Although I personally was unable to meet all the people I was hoping to, I was able to meet and speak to many on my list!
I don’t want to get too long winded with this; so a big thanks to the C.A.T.S. Cougar Club and the CCOA for everything! I also look to forward to seeing the many comments and pictures from a lot of the members of the Classic Cougar Community!

The adventure to the show was just that, not only hats off to all that was involved in setting up this show,( which was great)
but to meet some of the people we only know from this forum.
I enjoyed all the sightseeing, the places of interest , all the things that the club had set up for us all to do was just amazing, I wish I could have stayed longer. Great job to all involved!
I enjoyed meeting you too, Diego! Cheers,
Brian
It was good to see you again Diego!
I’ve kinda latched onto this thread for pictures and such: https://cccforum.discoursehosting.net/t/cougar-50th-anniversary-photos/7649/1

I’m glad my dad and I stopped into McDees on Sunday morning before the main show at FWHQ. I got a chance to meet you there. Riding into the show with you, parking next to you and watching you and your beautiful Cat get some kudos at the end was great to see. We even had the same idea of swinging around to the front of FWHQ to get some pics there.
I agree about all you said. It truly was amazing to see sooo many Cougars of all shapes, sizes and colors all weekend.
I hope that crown is in your future soon. Lol
Cheers!

Brian, Andrew and Bill, it was my pleasure either meeting, reconnecting and/or speaking with all of you as well as many others. I learned so much at this show but still only scratched the surface. I’ve forgotten so much of what I learned that weekend but that is the value of this forum. A quick post and the answers start to flow.
Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. Especially many of the CATS Club members who were so busy running the show. I can only imagine how their minds were spinning throughout the weekend yet still had time for the participants, guiding them through the weekend even if their questions were trivial!
Brian, would have loved to have seen Blackie live! Andrew, I thought your pictures and videos were great before but the shots and video you got with that drone were phenomenal! And…just to clarify, the crown Bill is referring to is the potential crown he diagnosed during the conversation we had while having breakfast on the morning of the show that I may need on one of my molars, not an award crown or something like that for “ACOOLCAT” or on top of my head! I found out he was a dentist! Next time I’m in Maryland I’ll have to book that dentist appointment with you and have that crown installed! LOL
Thanks for the kind words about my Cat. Like you said Bill, there definitely were sooo many beautiful Cougars to admire that weekend. I already look forward to the 75th anniversary shows!!!
